The INSIGHT Youth initiative raises awareness about childhood myopia and excessive screen time – and helps families build healthier habits through education, outdoor play, and accessible vision care.

Leadership Workshops

Develop leadership skills by teaching, coaching, and mentoring young children, helping them discover and strengthen their talents and abilities.

Mentorship Programs

Learn from experienced mentors, including doctors, artists, and musicians, then apply and share that knowledge to make meaningful contributions to the community

Community Service Projects

Contribute to the community by teaching younger children arts, crafts, and sports, helping create a healthy, active, and supportive learning environment while fostering positive study habits and personal growth.”

Festival Of the Arts -Community Outreach Booth

Interactive booth featuring children’s artwork on eye health, flyers on screen-time and myopia, and a local optometrist oin hand to discuss prevention and treatment options

Tennis Session

Nine children participated in a tennis introduction session where they learned basic tennis skills through fun drills and activities designed to promote healthy lifestyles and inspire a lasting interest in the sport.

Arts & Crafts

Participants created lighted paintings while learning basic painting and crafting techniques, encouraging creativity, artistic expression, and hands-on problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Tennis Session

Five children took part in an introductory tennis session, practicing fundamental skills through engaging games and activities that encouraged physical fitness, teamwork, and an enthusiasm for learning the sport.

Bowen Academy Summer Camp

Led summer camp activities for students at Bowen Academy, teaching 20 students in Grades 1–3 and 20 students in Grades 4–6. Younger students completed a bunny-themed craft while older students built a STEM project using light-up glow sticks. The program also included drawing activities to strengthen creativity, organization, and fine motor skills while introducing basic electronics concepts and sparking interest in STEM.

Tennis Session – Weekly

Beginning this season, we will host a one-hour tennis session every Wednesday from 6:00–7:00 PM at the high school tennis courts, providing youth with regular opportunities to learn tennis skills, stay active, and build healthy habits in a fun and supportive environment.

Top Scholar Summer Camp

Another session of a total of 30–40 students from the Top Scholar Summer Camp participated in STEM and arts & crafts activities. Older students explored mechanical engineering concepts through engaging STEM projects, while younger students developed basic art skills and creativity through hands-on craft activities that encouraged imagination and self-expression.

School Vision Screening Days

Partnering with optometrists to bring low- and no-cost vision screenings directly to classrooms across Eastvale.

Eastvale Night Market

Join our upcoming Night Market Art & Craft Event, where youth will showcase handmade artwork and crafts while gaining experience in creativity, advertising, and community engagement.

9/11 Memorial Community Project

This September, Insight Youth will bring students together for a meaningful 9/11 Memorial Community Project. Young participants will collaborate to create a large commemorative painting honoring the courage and sacrifice of first responders. Local police officers, firefighters, and healthcare professionals will be invited to sign the artwork as a symbol of unity and gratitude. The completed mural will then be presented to the Eastvale Fire Department as a lasting tribute to those who serve and protect our community, while inspiring youth to learn the values of service, respect, and civic responsibility.
