Our Youth Empowerment Programs
Our programs are run by high school students, for kids ages 6–13.
Leadership Workshops
Build real leadership skills by teaching, coaching, and mentoring younger kids.
Mentorship Programs
Learn from experienced mentors, including doctors, artists, and musicians, then pass what you’ve learned on to younger kids.
Community Service Projects
Teach arts, crafts, and sports to younger kids, and help create a healthy, active place to learn and play.

Festival of the Arts – Community Outreach Booth
Interactive booth featuring children’s artwork on eye health, flyers on screen-time and myopia, and a local optometrist on hand to discuss prevention and treatment options
Tennis Session
Nine children participated in a tennis introduction session where they learned basic tennis skills through fun drills and activities designed to promote healthy lifestyles and inspire a lasting interest in the sport.
Arts & Crafts
Participants created lighted paintings while learning basic painting and crafting techniques, encouraging creativity, artistic expression, and hands-on problem-solving skills in a fun and engaging environment.
Tennis Session
Five children took part in an introductory tennis session, practicing fundamental skills through engaging games and activities that encouraged physical fitness, teamwork, and an enthusiasm for learning the sport.
Bowen Academy Summer Camp
Led summer camp activities for students at Bowen Academy, teaching 20 students in Grades 1–3 and 20 students in Grades 4–6. Younger students completed a bunny-themed craft while older students built a STEM project using light-up glow sticks. The program also included drawing activities to strengthen creativity, organization, and fine motor skills while introducing basic electronics concepts and sparking interest in STEM.
Bowen Academy Summer Camp 2
Led summer camp activities at Bowen Academy for 32 students, including 20 students in Grades 1–3 and 12 students in Grades 4–6. Taught hands-on STEM and art lessons, guiding older students in building an Electronic Spider project and younger students in creating a Caterpillar-themed craft. Encouraged creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving through interactive learning activities.
KIWANIS & KEY CLUB Collaboration
Insight Youth attended a joint meeting with the Eastvale Kiwanis Club and Key Club to introduce our mission and youth programs. We shared our commitment to leadership, community service, STEM, arts, and sports, while answering questions and connecting with fellow volunteers. The meeting strengthened collaboration among three Eastvale volunteer organizations and opened new opportunities to serve and support our local community together.
Boy Scouts Collaboration
Insight Youth partnered with Eastvale Boy Scouts on our 9/11 Memorial Art Project, bringing young people together through art, service, and remembrance. The collaboration encouraged youth to step away from screens, connect with other youth groups, and participate in meaningful hands-on community activities.
Eastvale City Council Meeting
Insight Youth introduced our youth-led organization and community initiatives at Eastvale City Council Meeting. We shared our mission to help young people reduce screen time, explore meaningful offline activities, and become active contributors to our community.
KIWANIS & KEY CLUB Collaboration with CNUSD Superintendent & Board Member
Insight Youth was proud to connect with CNUSD leaders who support youth-led initiatives. Our leaders also participated in our 9/11 Memorial Art Project, helping students turn creativity and remembrance into meaningful community service.

Charlotte’s Spider Escaped the Book!
Sunday, November 22, 2026 · 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM · Eastvale Library
Presented in partnership with Eastvale Library (Riverside County Library System). Make a Thanksgiving magnet with your family portrait, and build your own moving electronic spider. A free parent-child workshop for ages 7 to 12, led by Insight Youth high school volunteers. All materials provided.

Check Out an Ornament That Lights Up!

Project 1: Why Apps Hook Us
Student research on algorithms, UI design, and psychology · Started October 3, 2026
Our students are studying how the apps they use every day are built to hold their attention: how recommendation algorithms decide what to show next, how UI design choices such as endless scrolling, autoplay, streaks, and notifications keep people coming back, and the psychology behind it all, why these tools can become addictive, especially for children and teenagers. They are turning what they learn into practical suggestions for students and parents, and they present their findings at our community activities, including events with the school district and the fire station.
Project 2: Learning With AI, the Right Way
Student research on using AI to learn better · Starts January 3, 2027
Our students are learning how AI tools work and how to use them well. The point is not to let AI do the thinking for them. Used the wrong way, AI can replace thinking and learning; used the right way, it can help a student understand more, ask better questions, and learn faster. As with the app project, the students share what they learn with younger students and families at our activities, in plain language and with real examples from their own schoolwork.
The research is done by the students themselves. Each student starts with the apps they use most in their daily life and analyzes them. Mr. Fan, an Insight Youth advisor, mentors the students and guides their research.
Tennis Session – Weekly
Wednesdays · 6:00 to 7:00 PM
Beginning this season, we will host a one-hour tennis session every Wednesday from 6:00–7:00 PM at the high school tennis courts, providing youth with regular opportunities to learn tennis skills, stay active, and build healthy habits in a fun and supportive environment.
