The Art of Expression

Deeply inspired by the Dutch Golden Age still life artists, throughout Yun’s art career, she is obsessed with traditional painting techniques and tries to see and think deeply through the layers of the painting.

Mastering the Craft

Yun believes that the beauty of art is emotional, so she strives to paint elegance and calmness into her work using objects such as antique china, musical instruments, and arranged flowers.

Mentoring Young Creatives

Through her art and mentorship, Yun hopes to encourage young people to appreciate creativity, discipline, traditional artistic techniques, and the lasting emotional impact of art.

Monica Sandberg

Tennis Professional

Coach Monica is a dedicated tennis professional, coach, and founder of Sandberg High Performance Tennis Academy. With extensive experience developing junior and high-performance athletes, Coach Monica is passionate about helping players build not only strong technical and tactical skills, but also confidence, mental toughness, and a growth mindset.

Coach Monica is a PTR/USTA and GPTCA/ATP-certified tennis professional and serves as Head Coach of the Eleanor Roosevelt High School Mustangs tennis program. Through her academy and high school coaching, Monica focuses on movement, consistency, strategy, athletic development, and the mental side of competitive tennis.

For Coach Monica, tennis is about far more than what happens between the lines. She believes the challenges young athletes encounter on the court provide a powerful foundation for life beyond the sport. Learning to recover from mistakes, solve problems under pressure, manage emotions, persevere through adversity, and take ownership of one’s decisions helps young athletes develop resilience and confidence that carries into school, relationships, careers, and everyday life. Most importantly, tennis can teach athletes to find intrinsic validation—learning to measure success by their own preparation, effort, growth, and ability to overcome challenges rather than relying solely on external results or recognition.

The Art of Sports

Coach Monica’s coaching philosophy is simple: great athletes are developed through purposeful training, resilience, and a willingness to learn from every point—and great coaching should ultimately help develop confident, capable young people who are prepared for life as well as competition.

Mastering the Tennis

Coach Monica is the Head Coach of the Eleanor Roosevelt High School Mustangs tennis program. She led the girls’ team to the 2025 League Championship and continues to grow youth tennis in Eastvale. Many of her students have earned high USTA rankings and gone on to play college tennis.

Mentoring Young Athletes

Coach Monica mentors our young athletes on and off the court, helping them build resilience, confidence, and a strong work ethic through tennis. Her coaching goes beyond technique. She guides players to find motivation from within, measuring success by effort and growth rather than trophies alone.

Xiao Fan

Automotive Engineer & STEM Advisor

Mr. Fan is an automotive engineer with a background in computer engineering, vehicle testing, and data analysis. He currently works as a Homologation Engineer at Lucid Motors, where his work includes electric vehicle range and efficiency, on-board diagnostics, brake emissions, and regulatory certification.

Mr. Fan holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Riverside. Before joining Lucid Motors, he worked as a Test Engineer and Project Manager at Automotive Testing and Development Services, Inc., focusing on vehicle emissions testing, technical troubleshooting, and test automation.

Mr. Fan has also served as a FIRST LEGO League robotics coach at Eastvale Academy, working alongside Coach Robert to develop robotics courses and lead programming instruction. Through practical examples and guided challenges, he helped younger students understand programming logic and approach complex problems with confidence.

Engineering Through Exploration

Mr. Fan believes that learning begins with curiosity: asking how something works, testing an idea, and understanding the results. His teaching emphasizes clear explanations and hands-on experimentation, making technical concepts accessible while encouraging students to think independently.

Technology Behind the Screen

Mr. Fan aims to help students explore how recommendation algorithms and digital platforms influence what they see and how they spend their time. He hopes to make these systems understandable so that young people can make more informed choices about their technology use.

Mentoring Young STEM Students

Through Insight Youth, Mr. Fan leads young STEM students in hands-on research, programming, and robotics — guiding them to think critically and pursue independent projects with confidence. He takes students from curiosity to discovery: asking questions, testing ideas, and solving real problems on their own.
